  "High Country" was selected for the show "Art of the Animal Kingdom" which is held at the Bennington Center for the Arts in Burlington, Vermont.  One of the country's most prestigious wildlife exhibitions opens on June 14 and will run through July 27th.   "Focused" black-crowned night-heron was accepted for the 2008 "Birds in Art" international show which will be held at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin.  Birds in Art, the Museum's annual and always-new celebration of art and nature is on view September 6 - November 9, 2008. Out of 997 entries only 114 were selected for this prestigious showing.  This painting is SOLD and is owned by Robert & Charlotte Streit of the Twisted Fish Gallery (http://www.twistedfishart.com/) located in Elk Rapids, Michigan.

(IRMA represents publications throughout the world and holds annual competition for editorial and design awards.  Whisper in the Woods also won an award for Overall Art Direction, shared by editor/publisher Kimberli Bindschatel and Suzanne Conant.)

"Hang Time" black-capped chickadee"Hang Time" (black-capped chickadee, shown below) has been selected for the prestigeous Birds in Art 2005 exhibition held in Wausau, WI at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum.  There were 995 entries from 610 international artists and from these 98 entries were chosen for the exhibition.  The show opens September 10th and runs until November 13, 2005.  This painting was selected to be a part of the Birds in Art Tour which will tour across the United States until February 2007.
